Enron witness found dead in park
A body found in north-east London has been identified as that of a banker who was questioned by the FBI about the Enron fraud case.
Police said they were treating the death in Chingford of Neil Coulbeck, who worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland until 2004, as “unexplained”.
He had been interviewed by the FBI as a potential witness.

Shakes provided “the aristocrats” punchline to my A Cornucopia of Perversion post. This cracked me up but also made me realize I haven’t posted about The Aristocrats. (Shakes also coined the term “vulvastic”, vulva + fantastic, a term I am doing my best to introduce to my callers.)
Sure, this movie came out last year. But I’m not a big fan of movie theaters and prefer to see things on dvd. I rarely see movies so when I finally do it’s usually months, if not years, later.
The Aristocrats made me laugh so hard I cried. Mr. Radical and I loved it. I wonder though-would this movie have been as funny had I not been a sex worker? Probably not. It was like a buffet of my most perverted callers.

Sex workers are being given smart cards in the southern Indian city of Mysore as part of a project to combat Aids.
Card holders get discounts at selected shops for groceries and clothes, and some restaurants, on the condition they have regular health checks.
Officials say this pilot project is the first of its kind in India.
Clever. I’ll be interested to see how this plays out.

Playboy editor, model named as suspects in Indonesian indecency case
Jakarta - Playboy magazine’s local editor-in-chief and its first centrefold model in Indonesia were formally named by police Thursday as suspects in an indecency case against the publication.
Authorities said they were investigating Kartika Gunawan, a woman who posed in lingerie in a premiere edition last April, and Erwin Arnada, the editor. They could be prosecuted, and if convicted, imprisoned for two years and eight months.
The magazine’s Indonesian launch caused a stir in the predominantly Muslim country of 220 million, prompting the publisher to relocate its offices from the capital of Jakarta to the more liberal resort island of Bali. A second edition was released in June.

Enron founder Kenneth Lay dies at 64
“HOUSTON - Enron Corp. founder Kenneth Lay, who was convicted of helping perpetuate one of the most sprawling business frauds in U.S. history, died Wednesday in Aspen, Colo. He was 64.
Lay died of a heart attack, his pastor in Houston said.
“Apparently, his heart simply gave out,” said Pastor Steve Wende of Houston’s First United Methodist Church. Lay, who lived in Houston, frequently vacationed in Colorado.
Lay was convicted May 25 along with former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling of defrauding investors and employees by repeatedly lying about Enron’s financial strength in the months before the company plummeted into bankruptcy protection in December 2001. Lay was also convicted in a separate non-jury trial of bank fraud and making false statements to banks, charges related to his personal finances.”
I’m not saying Ken Lay was suicidied. But I do love a good conspiracy so I’m linking to another Enron death, a one Cliff Baxter, a former top Enron executive.

For the 4th of July I decided to reread the US Declaration of Independence. While certainly an inspirational document it was a little depressing because in my opinion the current administration is doing things that are in violation of the Declaration. I can only imagine what the founding fathers would say if they could see us now.
That being said the document is still quite revolutionary and I hope it can inspire Americans to take our country back.
