From Breitbart:
Mid-flight sexual play lands US couple afoul of anti-terrorism law
“A couple’s ill-concealed sexual play aboard a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles got them charged with violating the Patriot Act, intended for terrorist acts, and could land them in jail for 20 years.
According to their indictment, Carl Persing and Dawn Sewell were allegedly snuggling and kissing inappropriately, “making other passengers uncomfortable,” when a flight attendant asked them to stop.
“Persing was observed nuzzling or kissing Sewell on the neck, and … with his face pressed against Sewell’s vaginal area. During these actions, Sewell was observed smiling,” reads the indictment filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”
This is disturbing. Sure people shouldn’t fuck on airplanes blah blah blah. I could understand if they got fined. But they are not terrorists. Using the Patriot Act, which mind you is “supposed” to fight terrorism, is abuse of power. If they harassed the flight attendant then charge them with harassment. As it stands now the couple could be facing up to 20 years. Twenty years for messing around on a flight is bullshit.

By now most of you will know the results of the election. My thoughts? I’ve had a range of emotions this election.
Tuesday I was in a horrid mood. There have been lots of disturbing stories about vote fraud.
Early Voting Troubles in Florida
Florida ballot terminals favor Republicans
Mr. Radical and I decided to step away from the news and enjoy the day by eating sushi. The sushi, and the sake, helped melt our stress away. When we came home we logged on and read the news.
My first reaction was relief. The Iraq war was a major factor in people’s votes. Finally! Getting rid of corruption, voting against Dear Leader Bush. It’s about time. The bitch slap to the war mongers felt great.
The Antiwar Wave
America has spoken
The Great American Break-Up
In the short term I feel happy. But today I have mulled things over and my feelings are up and down. Will things be different? Will the new Democrat run Congress be so much different?
Meet The New Boss, Same As The Old Boss
Iraqis skeptical Democrat gains will bring change
I think the election results are good but it is only the very beginning. We have to keep the heat on, make our representatives accountable, end the Iraq war, push for voting machine reform…in essence keep up the hard work.

From USA Today:
Officer struck by Bush’s cousin dies
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A police officer died Saturday, four days after being struck by a sport-utility vehicle driven by a federal judge, the mayor said.
Officer Dan Picagli, a 17-year veteran of the force, was hit while directing traffic in the rain Tuesday night. He had been wearing a black raincoat and a reflective vest.
The SUV was driven by John M. Walker Jr., a senior judge on the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York, who maintains court chambers in New Haven. He was leaving work when the accident happened, police said.
No charges have been filed.
Police Chief Francisco Ortiz said the accident remained under investigation, but officers did not feel it was necessary to test Walker for drugs or alcohol.
-Now, what do you suppose would have happened if Judge Walker hadn’t been related to the president? If he was an average bloke would the officers still “ not feel it was necessary to test Walker for drugs or alcohol”? Or even if he hadn’t been a judge? Would charges still not have been filed?
This is such an obvious case of favoritism it’s sickening. If he would have been an “average” citizen he would have been arrested and the media would have been shouting “cop killer”.

From Den of the Biting Beaver via Boing Boing:
Morality clauses, EC, and broken condoms
“I’m stunned. I’m utterly, completely stunned. I’m shaky and anxious and shocked beyond belief. I live in rural Ohio and I have been denied EC.”
(snip)
“Folks, the condom broke Friday night and I searched all weekend for someone who could prescribe me EC. It is now Monday and I have to report that I have been unable to find anyone who will write me a fucking prescription for EC. None of the hospitals in the surrounding counties would write it for me. I stopped my search at about 100 miles from my home because my telephone book wouldn’t take me out any further than that.”
I’m glad to report that BB has put an update on her blog that she was able to get Plan B. But the hoops she was put through are disgusting. Women should not have to justify their need for emergency contraception. Women should not have to meet “criteria” to prove their worthiness for EC.
We have a right to do with our wombs as we wish. Yes, more money needs to be put towards organizations like Planned Parenthood. But how to be proactive when PP can’t help? When Plan B does go over the counter all women that can buy it should. I’m in a monogamous relationship and my husband has a vasectomy. Do I need Plan B? Technically no but I’ll be buying it anyway. Everyone should. Stockpile the damn things. Make the companies realize the demand is so high for them that they must make more.
Instead of parents standing in line for the next hot Christmas toy I want to see supporters of birth control lined up to buy EC. Back up your Birth Control is a good website to check out.
Also, since my blog is a pro-porn blog I feel I should give a heads up to my readers. Den of the Biting Beaver is anti-pornography. Obviously, I disagree with her. Many of her blog posts I disagree with. However, a person being denied EC or being judged for needing EC is wrong and I felt her story needed to get more press.

From Unknown News:
Bush steps on flag
“U.S. President George W. Bush (L) and first lady Laura Bush (2nd L) view a mural depicting the September 11, 2001 attacks near a carpet commemorating that date outside Ladder Company 10 firehouse, opposite the site of the World Trade Center in New York September 10, 2006. ”
Bush later steps on the flag carpet with Laura and are photographed. A fitting metaphor don’t you think?
Last night I lost it with a client. When he said he could talk late into the night because he called in sick for work tomorrow (ie he was too emotionally upset to work on 9/11) I knew in my gut this was not going to be a good call.
Racist Fuck is what I’m nicknaming him because as I start typing this story my anger returns. Before I begin I’d like to say that the majority of my clients are good people. Perverted yes, even freaky sometimes. I respect them as people and I hope my “PSO Confessions” portray that.
However RF is not one of those good clients. The call started off fine. He jumped from subject to subject which is typical of him. He wanted to lick my pussy, he wanted to hear about lesbians, he needed to be fucked with a strap on, etc.
Then out of nowhere he started complaining about “them ragheads”. On a side note, it took me several minutes to discern what he was saying. Sometimes it sounded like he was saying “towelheads” instead. Not that that’s any better, but I wanted to be sure of what he was saying before I responded.
I had to respond. I could have remained silent. Or I could have guided the conversation back to sexual matters. But RF just kept spouting hatred. When he said “nothing thrills me more than killing an Iraqi” I lost it. My fingers gripped the chair and I could feel my blood pressure rising.
While I was deciding how to respond RF kept going. He turned his hatred toward Iranians. Apparently in college he knew some Iranians he says hated the US and that is why he now hates all Iranians. It didn’t stop there. He kept complaining about Arabs and how they deserved “everything they were getting.”
During his hate speech I thought about dumping him as a client. RF rarely calls me and when he does he messes around with setting up a call. I’ll set up the billing and then call him back only to get a busy signal. He’ll call later and complain I never called him back. He does this repeatedly. On calls he interrupts, is rude and belittles me. I would not miss him if he never called me again.
He unintentionally gave me a perfect opening. I had been quiet for awhile while he ranted on. He finally stopped talking. When I said nothing he asked “You probably think I”m pretty conservative huh?”
“No, I think you’re a racist.” I didn’t scream. I didn’t curse him out which is what I really wanted to do. I focused on my breathing and kept my voice even.
RF was shocked. His voice sounded like I had sucker punched him. “Sweetie,” he quivered “I’m not a racist.” The “sweetie” bit annoyed me. I haven’t been a girl in many years and his patronizing tone and nickname only irritated me. But I wanted to address his racism instead.
I told him I believed he was racist and that if he used the term “raghead” with me again I was going to hang up immediately. RF justified his beliefs by saying he was raised in the south. WTF?! When that didn’t convince me he tried another tactic. In a whiny voice he told me he just couldn’t “differentiate between them people”. Arguing with him was almost too easy. In a forced calm voice I informed him that not being able to differentiate a race of people is a tenet of racism.
Losing another point he shifted tactics again. He started talking about the tragedy of 9/11. You can guess how different our opinions are on that subject. I don’t think killing innocent civilians in a country that the government admits had nothing to do with 9/11 is acceptable. He thinks Iraq needed “to be put in their place”.
Thankfully the call ended before my forced calm did. At the very end he asked “Am I ok with you now”. All his arguments only resulted in me disliking him more. I replied “as much as you’ll ever be” and hung up. Will he ever call me again? I hope not.
Yes 9/11 was a tragedy. But I do not believe the official version of September 11th. In my opinion there are too many inconsistencies, too many blatant lies, too many instances of people benefiting from 9/11, too many stories that defy logic and physics to make the official version believable. Will we ever know the truth? I hope so.
I encourage everyone to investigate 9/11 on their own. You don’t have to believe what I do. But it is my hope people decide for themselves instead of just swallowing the official story without question.

From Yahoo News:
Conservatives try to curtail hotel porn
“NEW YORK - Pornographic movies now seem nearly as pervasive in America’s hotel rooms as tiny shampoo bottles, and the lodging industry shows little concern as conservative activists rev up a protest campaign aimed at triggering a federal crackdown.
A coalition of 13 conservative groups — including the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America — took out full-page ads in some editions of USA Today earlier this month urging the Justice Department and
FBI to investigate whether some of the pay-per-view movies widely available in hotels violate federal and state obscenity laws.
The coalition also is trying to draw attention to CleanHotels.com, a directory of hotels and motels nationwide that pledge to exclude adult offerings from their in-room entertainment service.”
-In additional to this disturbing “Clean Hotels” website the article itself upsets me as well. Take the first paragraph:
“Pornographic movies now seem nearly as pervasive in America’s hotel rooms as tiny shampoo bottles, and the lodging industry shows little concern as conservative activists rev up a protest campaign aimed at triggering a federal crackdown.”
Pornography is treated as an invasive species here. The author then criticizes the lodging industry as indifferent and implies the industry is part of the imagined porn invasion. And a federal crackdown? Seriously, what the fuck? There are about a 100, no 1,000 even, more important things the government should be doing instead of cracking down on hotels that allow consenting adults to watch porn on a hotel television.
The most telling bit is about mid way down:
“Both Kathy Shepard of Hilton and Roger Conner of Marriott said the bulk of their hotels are operated by franchise-holders who make their own decisions about in-room programming. They made clear, however, that their companies consider adult movies to be an acceptable option because they can be ignored or blocked out by guests not wishing to view them.”
The porn programming can not only be ignored but can also be blocked out? Where’s the problem? The problem is the anti-porn brigade doesn’t want anyone to enjoy porn. They want to enforce their puritan beliefs on the rest of us. And that is the core reason I’m so pissy over “protests” such as this one. I hate it when people try to enforce their religious views and rules over others.
These so-called activists want to bring publicity to the website Clean Hotels. I checked it out and encourage readers to do the same. On the site you can find hotels who have agreed (or perhaps cowed to pressure) to remove porn programming from their hotels.”
If I turn on the hotel tv I may encounter Pat Robinson spouting some hatred against his newest enemy. That insults me and goes against my morals. Are they removing that type of programming from the line-up? No. I refuse to be silent as puritan crusaders try to enforce the Disneyfication of this country. So what to do? I’m writing to the hotels listed at the site to tell them I won’t be staying there because they are engaging in censorship. If I get an interesting reply back I’ll share it on here. If any of you choose to write and get a note worthy reply email me and I’ll post it.

For the 4th of July I decided to reread the US Declaration of Independence. While certainly an inspirational document it was a little depressing because in my opinion the current administration is doing things that are in violation of the Declaration. I can only imagine what the founding fathers would say if they could see us now.
That being said the document is still quite revolutionary and I hope it can inspire Americans to take our country back.

From Democrats.com, Bob Geiger shares his thoughts on Memorial Day:
“I suspected the call might not come this year. After two years of reluctantly turning down the invitation to join fellow Veterans marching in my town’s Memorial Day parade, no request for my participation came this May. I was relieved.
I still don’t know the origin of the list that somehow makes its way into the hands of well-meaning people such as the parade organizer and the kind Girl Scouts who deliver homemade cookies to our homes each Veterans Day. Somehow they know who the Vets are in my small New York town and they go out of their way to honor us, including asking us to march in the annual Memorial Day parade.
And yet every year since the Iraq war began, I simply can’t do it. I don’t struggle as mightily now as I did a year or two ago as my thoughts and raw feelings on the subject have become crystal clear.
It is a sick paradox that Veterans — who should despise George W. Bush and his administration more than most — are still among the groups that seem to stand by his side, largely supported him as recently as the 2004 election and even donated to his efforts to retain his unfortunate Command-in-Chief role. Forget the Swift Boat Liars, who so cruelly assailed John Kerry in 2004 with their fictitious and irrelevant accounts of his Vietnam service — they’re so far gone that only greed or mental illness can explain their conduct and I can only hope that none live in my town.”

From Media Matters:
Savage advocated “kill[ing] 100 million” Muslims; called alleged Duke rape victim a “drunken slut stripping whore”
On his radio show, Savage told listeners that “intelligent people, wealthy people … are very depressed by the weakness that America is showing to these psychotics in the Muslim world. They say, ‘Oh, there’s a billion of them.’ “Savage continued: “I said, ‘So, kill 100 million of them, then there’d be 900 million of them.’ I mean … would you rather us die than them?” Savage added: “Would you rather we disappear or we die? Or would you rather they disappear and they die? Because you’re going to have to make that choice sooner rather than later.”
Savage also referred to the alleged Duke rape victim as “a drunken slut stripping whore accusing men of raping her when there is absolutely no evidence of such a rape other than what comes out of that filthy mouth of hers.” He later asked: “What kind of system do we have that anyone can scream rape and not have to show her face?” adding, “This is all the product of the out-of-control lesbian feminist movement.” Echoing previous comments he has made about the alleged rape victim, Savage said, “The Durham dirt-bag case disgusts me to my core.”
Now, what do you think would happen to a radio show host in this country if he said 100,000 Christians should die? Or if he said America was showing weakness to “these psychotics in the Christian world”? A public lynching? A one way ticket to Gitmo?
Yet here Savage is stereotyping an entire religion and promoting the assignation of its worshippers.
As for the rape victim, I wonder what his response would be if the situation were different? What if a white Duke University student who was putting herself through college by stripping said she was raped by two local black men? Would Savage still call her a “drunken slut stripping whore”? Or would she suddenly become a poor victim and the accused perpetrators become monsters who prowl the town for their next victim?

Questioner Sharply Criticizes President Bush at Appearance
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina - President Bush isn’t used to tongue lashings, but he got a scolding Thursday from a North Carolina man who told the president that he should be ashamed of himself.
“While I listen to you talk about freedom, I see you assert your right to tap my telephone, to arrest me and hold me without charges, to try to preclude me from breathing clean air and drinking clean water,” real estate broker Harry Taylor told Bush at a town hall meeting. “I have never felt more ashamed of nor more frightened by my leadership in Washington.”
I applaud Mr. Taylor for standing up and speaking his mind. While I often criticize Bush, I have never had the opportunity to do it to him in person. Bush must be freaking out about his pathetically low poll numbers if he let someone criticize him to his face. Cheers to standing up to the oppressors Mr. Taylor!
Further down the article notes some people booed him. Booed him for what? Do they like being spied upon? Do they like breathing polluted air? I can only imagine how the jackals on Fox are humping their desks in their rapid fury that someone dare criticize Dear Leader. I am so glad I don’t own a television.

State bill proposes Christianity be Missouri’s official religion
Missouri legislators in Jefferson City considered a bill that would name Christianity the state’s official “majority” religion.
House Concurrent Resolution 13 has is pending in the state legislature.
Many Missouri residents had not heard about the bill until Thursday.
Karen Aroesty of the Anti-defamation league, along with other watch-groups, began a letter writing and email campaign to stop the resolution.
The resolution would recognize “a Christian god,” and it would not protect minority religions, but “protect the majority’s right to express their religious beliefs.
The resolution also recognizes that, “a greater power exists,” and only Christianity receives what the resolution calls, “justified recognition.”
I’m sure the fundies who pressured this to be written are humping their bibles in ecstasy right now. As a Pagan this both disgusts and scares me. I agree with Gloria Brame’s blog comments “As if this isn’t bad enough….as my husband pointed out earlier, with Scalia and Alito on the bench, if this ever went to the Supreme Court, Missouri just might win.”As a former Missouri resident I am sadly not surprised.

Well, this is disturbing. I’ll admit I wouldn’t have remembered “petition for redress of grievances” but not being able to name “freedom of speech” or “freedom of religion”?!?! Let us now shed a little tear for the state of public education.
Study: Few Americans know 1st Amendment
CHICAGO - Americans apparently know more about “The Simpsons” than they do about the First Amendment.
Only one in four Americans can name more than one of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment (freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and petition for redress of grievances.) But more than half can name at least two members of the cartoon family, according to a survey.

S.D. Gov. ‘Inclined’ to Sign Abortion Ban
PIERRE, S.D. - Gov. Mike Rounds said he is inclined to sign a bill that would ban nearly all abortions in South Dakota, making it a crime for doctors to perform an abortion unless it was necessary to save the woman’s life.
The ban, including in cases of rape or incest, was approved Friday by South Dakota lawmakers, setting up a deliberate frontal assault on Roe v. Wade at a time when some activists see the U.S. Supreme Court as more willing than ever to overturn the 33-year-old decision.
Well, well, well. Like we didn’t see this coming. With Bush’s putting ‘God gives me the power to control your womb’ judges on the Supreme Court is it any wonder the effort to kill Roe vs. Wade would come this soon?
The thing that especially disgusts me is the part about rape and incest. Seriously, these fuckers expect a rape victim to actually birth their attacker’s child? Or a niece is expected to have her uncle’s baby?
What comes in and goes out of my pussy is my decision. And the audacity of men controlling a woman’s body…makes me so infuriated that I can barely debate the issue and stay level headed and not froth at the mouth.
We should fight this new bill, we should yadda yadda yadda….. Blech! I worry it’s already too late with the Supreme Court stacked as it is currently. Perhaps we should buy stock in coat hangers. Ok, ok, I know that’s negative. On a more productive note, I think sex education is now more vital than ever for all ages. We must educate ourselves and others on all matters sexual.

The caption to this photo should read “I love democracy THIS much”.
So while testifying about the spying scandal Alberto Gonzales actually says that George Washington carried out electronic surveillance of Americans too so that makes it ok.
Really? Funny, I would never imagined that Washington had electronic devices from the future. No wonder we won the Revolution-we had superior weapons from 21st century!
Watch the video and see the sad shape of our current democracy. Scroll down about 1/3 of the page, the title is “Alberto: George Washington loves electronics too”.
