Today thousands and thousands marched in the streets to say End the Iraq War and NO to war in Iran. What did you see on tv? Did you see pictures of the actual crowds? Did you hear actual quotes from the speakers? Or did the mainstream media show fragments of protesters and downplay the actual numbers?
Want to see pictures of the actual protest? United for Peace and Justice has a Flickr group that is getting consistently added to. That’s where the picture above came from.
Americablog also has a good post.
Not surprisingly, BBC had better coverage the US media of the day’s events:
Mass US protest against Iraq war
In the buildup to war with Iran what most people don’t see are pictures of what life is really like there. This website has a short video showing everyday pictures of real Iranians. These are the types of people our government is trying to get us to believe are evil terrorists in their mad lust for more war, more profits, more control.
