I usually write about my caller’s sex lives. Today I’d like to share something funny that happened in my own. My husband and I like to spank each other. Last week it was his turn to have a date with the hairbrush. We were playing and thought we’d use something we hadn’t in awhile. Occasionally we use Caspicin cream when giving a spanking.
Caspicin cream is used for arthritis. It heats up the skin and soothes the joints. When combined with a spanking it gives quite the tingling sensation. I squirted some on the back of the hairbrush and rubbed in over his buttocks.
In my mind the cream was sufficiently rubbed in. (cue the foreboding music) I started to spank him, smacking the paddle over his cheeks. SPLAT!
The hairbrush made the cream spatter and I felt it hit my face. Almost instantly my eyes started to burn. “Oh shit! It’s in my eyes! I got the cream in my eyes!”
DH leaps off my lap, mind you he’s still naked. I’m half naked running to the bathroom. I start splashing water into my eyes. But that day I had my contacts in so it’s not helping.
I start to take my right contact out. MORE BURNING! The cream had gotten on my fingers too and now I’m effectively rubbing more Caspicin cream in my eye. “Shit shit shit, it fucking burns.”
So now I’m franticly washing my hands. DH comes in with dish detergent and squirts some on my hands. This helps to wash them off. After rinsing throughly, I don’t need soap in my eyes too, I take my contacts out. This sucks because my eyes are still burning and instinctively I want to close them.
I manage to get both contacts out and start splashing with water. Now the water is helping and my eyes are no longer burning.
But now my lips are BURNING! The splat must have gotten on my lips as well. So I start washing my lips.
Finally, finally there is no more burning. There’s water everywhere, towels are thrown all over the bathroom but there is no more burning.
I come out of the bathroom to tell my husband that I’m ok. We both stare at each other and start cracking up. He asks me why I didn’t rub it in, I tell him I did. He shows me the hairbrush that clearly shows it’s not rubbed in. We both laugh more. He kindly offers to wash the brush for me. I’m thankful since I want to stay far away from that cream for awhile. After he washes the brush and gets dressed I tell him “Thank gods you weren’t a client. This would ruin my Mistress mystique.” We both laughed.

March 16th is the three year anniversary of Rachel Corrie’s killing.

MediaChannel.org and United For Peace And Justice have announced that a day of media protest will now kick off this years week-long “spring offensive” against the war, just before the third anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq.
Media Action is crucial. Those who control the media control what people know, what they think. My husband and I recently had a conversation with a family member about the racism in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. He didn’t believe some of what we were saying because he didn’t “see it on tv”. Yet, there is incident after incident of racism documented that didn’t make it onto fox news.
We need to hold the media accountable. If the media won’t be accountable we need to go to independent news organizations and, even better, become the media. Regardless of one’s political beliefs, one should know the bias of the news.

Over the last few months I’ve been hearing Peaches is THE artist to listen to if you like rocking chicks. She was on my music to get list but I hadn’t gotten around to hearing her. Her appearance on the cover of Bust and interview prompted me to get her Fatherfucker CD.
Wow! This album kicks some serious ass. I just got it yesterday and have been listening to it all night. I’m loving every song but her “I don’t give a” is my fave on the CD.

Mercurial Girl is one of my favorite blogs. MG was one of the first sex worker blogs I came across. She writes about her work as a prostitute and is “an American ex pat making a home and creating her life in Paris”.
What I find so intriguing about Kim’s blog is she gives us views of her life as a whole person. So many chronicles of working girls show the woman one dimensionally. With MG we get to see the many layers of Kim.
She is honest, friendly and a very good writer. Her blog is the first one I ever went back through the archives and read the entries from the beginning. I don’t know her personally but I would love to sit down and have coffee with her one day. If you haven’t checked out her blog, I highly recommend her.

Yes, Rick Santorum, the senator who forces his obsession with bestiality into the public under the guise of homophobia, has earned himself more notoriety by having his namesake become a sex term.
Santorum-the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex-has been in use for a few years now. I enjoy slipping the word into my work calls, especially if I’m talking to a conservative republican.
In case you haven’t heard of santorum here’s some history from Wikipedia:
“Savage reacted strongly to United States Senator Rick Santorum’s statements about homosexuality in an interview with the Associated Press published April 20, 2003. (See Santorum controversy for the details.) In the interview, Santorum describes homosexual acts as part of a class of deviant sexual behavior, including incest, polygamy, and bestiality, which he said threaten society and the family. Furthermore Santorum stated that he believed consenting adults do not have a Constitutional right to privacy with respect to sexual acts.
Savage was outraged by these statements. At the suggestion of a reader, Savage challenged his audience to come up with a sex-related definition for the word santorum as a satirical form of political protest for the express purpose of “memorialize[ing] the Santorum scandal […] by attaching his name to a sex act that would make his big, white teeth fall out of his big, empty head”.
After Savage published several definitions suggested by readers, a vote was taken among the readers of his column. The winning definition: “the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex” was announced in the June 12, 2003 column.”
One of the easiest ways to slip the term into a call is if the client wants to fuck himself with a dildo. I advise him to put a condom over it first so the santorum is easily cleaned up and doesn’t get onto the toy. Or if they want to give themselves an enema first I’ll tell them that’s a great idea because there won’t be any santorum to clean up afterwards.
Sometimes they don’t ask what the word means. Which is fine, it still gets the word in circulation. But if they do ask, I smile wickedly while I give the definition an abbreviated history. A lot of my callers think its funny, we have a laugh and then carry on with the call.
As for the conservative republicans, there’s a silent pause and then an “oh”. Then we return to our sex chat. In future calls they don’t bring it up and if I use the term again, I don’t explain it since they already know. I inwardly giggle though at my little subversion.

British Bars Selling Sex Toys in Machines
LONDON — Bars and nightclubs in London and other British cities have begun using vending machines that sell sex toys such as mini vibrators.
The pink Tabooboo machines had previously been used in public toilets in Britain, under the assumption that such settings gave buyers some privacy.
If I saw one of these machines I’d have to buy something just for the novelty. After hearing about a friend’s condom machine collection I was inspired to buy one from a gas station bathroom. It turned out to be a little white box with “generic condom” written across it for those interested. I checked out Tabooboo’s site; in addition to the vending machines they have fun looking toys and this cute collection of cartoons called Popsutra.

State bill proposes Christianity be Missouri’s official religion
Missouri legislators in Jefferson City considered a bill that would name Christianity the state’s official “majority” religion.
House Concurrent Resolution 13 has is pending in the state legislature.
Many Missouri residents had not heard about the bill until Thursday.
Karen Aroesty of the Anti-defamation league, along with other watch-groups, began a letter writing and email campaign to stop the resolution.
The resolution would recognize “a Christian god,” and it would not protect minority religions, but “protect the majority’s right to express their religious beliefs.
The resolution also recognizes that, “a greater power exists,” and only Christianity receives what the resolution calls, “justified recognition.”
I’m sure the fundies who pressured this to be written are humping their bibles in ecstasy right now. As a Pagan this both disgusts and scares me. I agree with Gloria Brame’s blog comments “As if this isn’t bad enough….as my husband pointed out earlier, with Scalia and Alito on the bench, if this ever went to the Supreme Court, Missouri just might win.”As a former Missouri resident I am sadly not surprised.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - In a major turnaround, Wal-Mart will begin stocking Plan B contraceptives — commonly referred to as the “morning-after pill” — at all of its pharmacies, the company said Friday.
“We expected more states to require us to sell emergency contraceptives in the months ahead,” said Ron Chumiuk, vice president of Pharmacy for Wal-Mart, in a statement.
