I’ve never believed Friday the 13th was an unlucky day. But I have had a couple clients mention they were freaked out by the day. They’re not the only ones. The last hotel I was in didn’t have a 13th floor. Isn’t it odd that in 2009 there are still buildings without floor 13?

Where does this fear come from? National Geographic News has an article on the matter. It’s a few years old but still worth a read:

“This Friday some people will be so paralyzed with fear they simply won’t get out of bed. Others will steadfastly refuse to fly on an airplane, buy a house, or act on a hot stock tip. It’s Friday the 13th, and they’re freaked out.”
