I’ve done a lot of calls featuring glory holes. While there are some porn sites that show women sucking cock, it’s on the whole a male activity. And while gay men certainly use them, my experience has been talking to the married men that have a fetish for the holes of glory. These clients almost always identify as straight. An overwhelming number of them are married.

The appeal, in addition to the anonymous sex of course, is the no strings attached aspect to the glory holes. Married men can have a tryst and go back to their normal lives with their heterosexuality still intact, in their minds.

There’s a whole code of conduct surrounding glory holes. A sample:

“3.2 If you want to be the person who cums:
1. Go into a booth; close and lock the door, if possible.
2. Drop some money in the video machine.
3. Sit if you wish but standing up is the generally accepted indicator that you are not willing to play with anyone else.
4. Expose your genitalia (usually by dropping your pants) and get hard. You will find it more difficult to get someone to play with you if you don’t have at least a half-mast hard-on.
5. Wait for someone to stick their finger through the glory hole.
6. Put a rubber on now if you want. Place your penis through the hole. Some guys will just play with you; others will suck you; a few will want you to penetrate them anally.”
